In tipycal Nismo fashion, the track-oriented Nismo 370z is a refined sports performer. Weighin in at 3300 lbs, the roadster is in no way a light weight. Under the hood is a tuned 3.7-liter VQ-series V6, uprated to 350 hp at 7,400 rpm (base Z offers 332 hp at 7,000 rpm) torque is bumped up to 276 lb-ft at 5200rpm (270 stock).
Cosmetic changes are subtle, including a new nose that slopes down lower and about six inches farther than stock, along with a new rear difuser, side skirts and revised dual-plane rear wing – all to improve down force. Nismo 5 spoke 19″ alloys wrapped in Yokohama Advan Sport rubbers, sit nicely ontop the 14.0-inch front four-piston aluminum calipers and 13.8-inch rear two-piston aluminum calipers which are controlled by a variable-ratio brake pedal. Suspension upgrades include higher spring rate springs and stiffer shocks.
Overall, at $39,000 Us the Nismo 370Z offers quite the bang for the buck.
